I was one of those mothers who thought homeschooling would be really difficult but after watching your video I think it is very possible. I just subscribed to your youtube channel :)
ReplyDeleteHi! I'm so glad to hear you found my video encouraging! Thanks for Subscribing :)
DeleteI loved watching this Gemma :) It was so wonderful to go about your day with you! I am still on the fence about homeschooling - (atleast for now) for one of the reasons you addressed - your youngest needing to be occupied. Nusaybah really needs to participate in an activity with us or we can't do anything at all. That even includes reading! So we're struggling with that at the minute. How do you occupy Khadijah on the other days when your husband is at work? x
ReplyDeleteI totally understand you concern about that. Even today, we found it difficult to keep her entertained so we could work. We try to get work that requires quiet (like reading) or any crafts done whilst she is sleeping. I try to get her involved in group activities where possible. This toddler phase will pass, so I just try to relax and accept that it's not going to be "perfect". All I can do is my best! Thank you for watching and for your supportive comments about the video :)
DeleteYou are doing a great job Gemma! It is always SO good reading your blog and learning new things which will help me in developing the skills in my child.
ReplyDeleteMashaAllah you have a beautiful family. It was really nice to see what it's like to homeschool. I don't have children yet but I've always wondered about homeschooling and if it would be something I would consider when the time comes, in sha Allah. Thank you for the insight and for bringing us into your home =).
ReplyDeleteMy favourite part of the day was also the woods ❤ it's amazing how soothing nature can be. For kids, for yourself...
ReplyDeleteHats off to you for pulling it off so effortlessly. May Allah reward you for all the khair you bring ❤
